This story has been based on my travel and teaching experiences around the Dodoma region in central Tanzania, East Africa.

It is dedicated to the maskini, the poorest of the poor, who may never read it.

The area is poor, with marginal crop growing soil and frequent droughts that cause much famine and distress, although sometimes there is too much rain and floods occur and many houses, made of mud, are destroyed. AIDS/HIV is very prevalent, and I met many people involved in either caring for relatives' children or suffering from AIDS themselves.

Profits from sales will go to the Community Based Rehabilitation project building an early intervention centre for families with children having disabilities.
